Students could have a working outline for a memoir/autobiography and a good portion of a rough draft by the end of the month and the instructor’s guidance after the class ends.
Instructor’s Bio:
Mary has been a story teller since she could talk. As a child, Mary made the “Let’s Pretend” games. Now she and her characters play that same game, but her characters insist their stories are real. She taught Language Arts/English for 15 years and began writing books when she retired. She is Georgia bred and Georgia raised and wouldn’t live anywhere else. The times she tried she missed her southern roots. Mary’s daughter is her best project!
Mary aims at readers’ heart strings and loves to tease with sensuous scenes. Mary edits for freelance clients. She Indie published 10 novels, a collection of Christmas stories, and a grammar book.
Teaching online classes and giving workshops makes Mary’s inner teacher happy. Helping folks take their ideas and turn them into books pleases Mary’s inner writer and her inner teacher. For the past 10 years Mary has edited both memoirs and how-to books.
Mary has presented workshops with HHRW, OIWI/Outreach International, FF&P, Savvy Authors, A2P, Walton Writers, and for East Metro Atlanta Christian Writers, Moonlight & Magnolias conference, and The Southern Pen Indie Conference.
