Have you been in a slump writing wise? Yeah, tell me about it. I have had several setbacks and challenges in the last few years. A big fall in 2019 almost took me out! But hey, I have found a way to get my mojo back!

Let me tell you about Kindle Vella. Vella is a serial platform for publishing ebooks. You post your story one episode at a time. I don’t know why this works for me, but it does. Okay, I think I know. It has got to do with instant gratification and abhorrence of rejection. There, I admit it. I am crushed by rejection.

Vella is only available in the US right now, but we (the authors on the platform) are hoping it will come out of Beta soon and be available worldwide soon.

With Vella each episode must be at least six hundred words and the maximum is five thousand words. This is working well for me. I’ve written more total words in the last six months than I have in years.

For those of us who have been around a long time and have a ton of manuscripts tucked away, this platform is perfect. So pull out those babies, dust them off, and get started on Vella. You will be glad you did. Did I mention instant gratification? Yep, makes me tickled pink when someone gives one of my stories a thumbs up.
